Basics classes are focused on creating a foundation for beginner
yogis.
Each class is unique and conducted in a workshop style to
allow students to ask questions, try out postures, learn and practice
breathing techniques and receive focused attention from the
instructor.
Like all of our classes, the Basics class will
include a warm-up, standing postures, floor series, breathing and
meditation. When you are ready to move to the flow class, you
will have experienced much of what the more advanced classes entail.
The atmosphere will allow you to learn more than just the technique of
a posture; you will walk away with tools that will help you to live a
fuller, more auspicious life. |

Flow classes are open to all levels; however, it is highly suggested
that the student take 10 to 12 beginner classes or 4 to 8 private
sessions in order to develop a foundation for Flow.
The structure
of the classes vary slightly, but all classes start with a warm-up and
include a standing series and a floor series, including Savasana
(resting pose) at the end of each class, and often include short
meditations. The instructor provides detailed instructions for
each of the postures that are taught, as well as modifications for
students practicing at different levels. While a strong emphasis
is placed on breathing during the postures, breathing practices will
also be taught separately.
